South African Photography

Liam Cornell and Lauren Geldenhuys started taking photos to document their experience as animal wranglers. The relationships they formed with the animals they worked with allowed them to create intimate images that offer a different perspective to the usual wildlife photography. Their images capture the personality, moods and temperaments of their subjects.
These images also reflect the relationship between man and animal. As one person recently said, “it is as if they have taken snap shots of their friends.” Their range of animal portraits aims to give personal insight into the moments, expressions and character traits of wild animals.
Among the animals that Liam and Lauren have worked with are baboons, zebras, eland, donkeys, horses, cows, springbok, Meerkats, storks, lions, snakes and the usual farmyard variety. They are currently taking a break from wrangling to promote their wildlife photography, and are exploring different media including canvas, photographic paper and Perspex.

All images can be printed on canvas in any size from A6 to A0 or custom sizes, and are also available unstretched or on photographic paper.
